Food Security will improve the health of humans
Food is a source of energy that has been gifted by
nature to all the creatures on the earth. However, food is not adequately
distributed all over the earth. However, inadequate food will lead to
deficiencies, obesity and other health issues. So, to resolve this issue, the
UN has presented the route to the food initiative. The UN agencies are taking the initiative to offer
healthy food for every citizen in Africa.
Food systems in Kenya are making effort to provide a nutritional diet and healthy
food for all the citizens. The food system is a vital part of any country, and
it is the outcome of natural resources, economic growth and other
socio-cultural factors. There has been a close relationship between optimum climate
and the health of the human body. The climate changes can affect the food
supply and even price rise of food and also affect the healthy food for the
population.
The poor quality of
children's diet is the major point of all types of malnutrition and also
affects the children from surviving. The food systems are the public welfare
policy decision for any government or country. These food systems are important
for the type of food to eat and current food systems. However, reducing food
loss helps to increase the amount of food reaching the market and reducing
wastage of cooked food can lead to the food system being more sustainable.
However, food security
remains a vital issue in developing countries like Kenya. The food security bill in Kenya is improving
at a slow rate and COvid-19 has a lead decline in food production. The right to
food is a universal human right but it is not equally distributed in the world.
The African countries are facing a daily crisis of food and nutrition
deficiency. So, the right to food in Kenya's constitution is essential and has been
part of the constitution to provide food to its population.
The UN also suggested that the government
should make provisions for food safety and hygiene to avoid all types of
diseases, particularly in children. The government should take steps to
restrict the usage of pesticides in Kenya against sufficient food. Excessive
usage of pesticides will prevent the production of food and leads to various
problems for people. To solve this issue, UN agencies have provided Hunger relief in
Africa, and Kenya and offered food for all.
As per the Food security bill, there are four
pillars of food security access, availability, utilization and stability. The
availability of sufficient food through domestic production is a part of food
security. The food accessibility by individuals for a nutritious diet is right
for all. However, utilization of food through sufficient diet, clean water and
health care to meet various needs. Thus, food rights in Kenya are vital for
offering sufficient and healthy food. All the households should receive adequate
food to digest and improve their health.
