Barriers to Free Moving of Food in Kenya
It should be highlighted that one of
the most important problems facing the modern world is Agriculture and Food Security.
By supplying food to locations where
people lack access to it, organisations like the World Health Organization and
United Nations work to alleviate this issue. It is important to emphasise that
the way food is distributed throughout the world, rather than the quantity of
items accessible to nations, is the root of the problem.
In Kenya, some significant barriers
to route to food initiative are:
First, a basic reason why diverse
population groups experience food insecurity is weak infrastructure. It is
challenging to carry food to people in some areas of the nation due to poor
road conditions. Due to potholes, several parts of the nation are almost
inaccessible. Short-lived products are particularly affected by this problem.
Another obstacle to efficient food
distribution is political instability. Because of the lack of safety, food systems in Kenya are hesitant to deliver food aid to those in
need. Also, corruption affects both the nation as a whole and its citizens. As
a result, the population suffers from chronic food insecurity, in which
year-round interruptions in consumption are brought on by an inability to get
or produce the necessary quantity of food.
When referring to Kenya, food
insecurity results from the physical and financial scarcity of food, especially
in the nation's least developed regions.
